Fulfillment of a Promise

I want to share with you the story of Shaquille.

He and his family had been enslaved for generations, living under extremely harsh conditions. For the sake of his children, he became desperate to escape — willing to do almost anything.

One day, a man approached him with a promise: he would free Shaquille's family in exchange for one of his kidneys. In desperation, Shaquille agreed.

He went through the surgery. But when he woke up, nothing had changed. He was still in slavery, and the man who made the promise had disappeared. Shaquille had been tricked in an organ harvesting scam.

Devastated and hopeless, he reached a point where he felt he could not keep going. He began to consider taking his own life. One night, before doing anything, he cried out to God.

Hope returned. Shaquille ran to his slave owner and said, "God spoke to me and told me I'm going to be set free."

The slave owner laughed at him. "No one knows you're here. No one cares about you. You belong to me, and you will never leave."

But Shaquille held on to what he had heard.

A few weeks later, everything changed. Through what we can only describe as God's intervention, we arrived. As Shaquille told us his story with tears running down his face, we realized something incredible.

We were the answer to his prayer.
